Embryo Freezing

Usually carried out when couples have had a cycle of IVF or ICSI with the transfer of embryos and also have excess embryos that are of suitable quality. These embryos can then be thawed and transferred into the uterus in the future avoiding the need to stimulate the ovaries again.

It is important to understand that not all of the embryos will survive the freeze and thaw process. The survival rate of freezing embryos is strongly linked to the quality of the original embryo.
